Make yourself
known.
This may be the biggest teaching of them all. When hungry, meow loudly enough to make sure your person knows about it. If dinner does not appear, continue meowing with the confidence of someone who has never once been wrong about a schedule.
If there are no results after five whole minutes, escalate thoughtfully: stand directly in front of their face, walk across the important work, park yourself on the keyboard, or offer a very persuasive paw. The point is not chaos. The point is clear communication—and, ideally, a bowl that is suddenly full.
